Orion UDP Defines New Display Standard for Aerospace Industry

May 5, 2004 -- The Aerospace industry no longer needs to rely on displays with external graphic cards and video distribution switches to view multiple critical graphics and video information. Z Microsystems' designed its Orion Universal Display Platform (UDP) with the Aerospace Industry's needs in mind.

The Orion 20", 21" and 23" UDP with its video processor provides multiple graphics, text, and live video all within the display eliminating the need for additional hardware. The Orion UDP is capable of two main computer inputs and viewing up to four live sources simultaneously in its standard package. The live sources can be analog, RGB or NTSC and each windowing system can be enabled or disabled as needed. The windowing systems support chroma-keying and magnification. While keeping the aspect ratio, the window may have any rectangular shape and size required by the operator. User profiles can be saved. All these features are controlled through SoftMenus which uses an RS232 serial interface from the computer to the display.

The Orion UDP has more potential than has ever been available to the Aerospace market and can advance the way in which the Aerospace community sees, defines, and defends its path.
