Changing the Upper Temperature Thresholds of a Z Microsystems Processor
The following is the procedure to adjust the Upper Temperature Threshold
of some of Z Microsystems' processors using Intel's Active Monitor software.
When using Intel's Active Monitor, Z Microsystems recommends that the
threshold temperature be increased to minimize unwarranted warnings.
The temperature levels are dependent on the motherboard, processor and
memory that are installed on each system. Please consult with Z Microsystems
for these settings. The procedure to adjust these settings is described
below.
- Open the Intel Active Monitor software. The following main Cooling
screen will appear:

- The green area of the gauges represents the setting for safe limits.
The yellow area represents the setting for the cautious limits. And
the red area represents the setting for limits exceeding the acceptable
range.
- To change the Upper Thresholds (red area), click the "Options"
button on the left side menu. The following screen will appear:

- From the "Options" screen, choose the "Set Sensor
Thresholds" button under the "Settings" options. The
following screen will appear:

- Adjust the temperatures in the appropriate "Upper Threshold"
fields by clicking the up and down arrows. When the appropriate temperatures
are entered, click the "Applied" button at the bottom of
the screen.

- Click the "Cancel" button to exit the screen and return
to the "Options" screen.
- Click the "Cooling" button to return to the main gauge
display screen for verification of the adjustments.
